The joint exhibition that combines the André Butzer’s most recent paintings together with Björn Dahlem’s new installations, leads the new season presentation of the Heinrich Ehrhardt Gallery.

This sample constitutes the first individual exhibition of the painter André Butzer (Stuttgart, 1973) in Spain, whereas it supposes the second individual one of Björn Dahlem (Munich, 1974) in the gallery. The current proposal connects what it seems the different artistic attempt of a painter and a sculptor but whose connections have been originated by means of the links established between different artistic German schools. Although from an aesthetic and formal level Dahlem’s pieces could be seem very different from those of Butzer’s, their shared influences – figures as Albert Oehlen in case of Butzer or Hubert Kiecol and Georg Herold in case of Dahlem – and their similar artistic references, make up the connection between two universes which their parallel contemplation acquires new senses.
