Biography

Ulrich Rückriem (Düsseldorf, 1938). He lives and works in Colonia.

He has been sculpture professor between 1974 and 1984 in Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Hamburg, Germany and between 1984 and 1988 in Künstakademie, Düsseldorf, Germany. Since 1988 he works as a professor at Städeschule, Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Frankfurt, Germany.

He has received numerous awards in recognition of his artistic career such as, Piepenbrock Prize for Sculpture, Kulturstiftung Hartwig. Piepenbrock in 2001, Piepenbrock Prize for Sculpture, Kulturstiftung Hartwig Piepenbrock in 1998 and Arnold Bode Prize, Arnold Bode Foundation, Kassel in 1985.
