The exhibition “Madrid Collects: 50 Contemporary Art Collections” is a tribute to the essential role of the active collector as a cultural agent within the city’s art ecosystem. The exhibition focuses on the collector as a key figure in the preservation and enrichment of cultural and social heritage, highlighting their contribution to the promotion of contemporary art, the support and consolidation of artistic careers, and the strengthening of the art market.

With a total of 100 works, the exhibition offers an open and diverse journey, without limitations on techniques or formats. Painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, video, and installation coexist in the different rooms, reflecting the richness and plurality of the contemporary art scene, and the commitment and dedication of those who ensure its conservation and future: the collector.
